I thought I'd start a series of posts about some of the movies I am really looking forward to watch. And what better way to start with than The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, the new film by David Fincher.
David Fincher is a damn fine director. One of the best working today. Just look at his filmography. Films like Fight Club, Se7en and Zodiac are classics already and even his other work is hugely entertaining (The Game, Panic Room and yes, even Alien 3 has momments of brilliant directing).
When I learned that Cate Blanchett (the best actress under 40 today and one of the most beautiful) and Brad Pitt (who under the right guidance from a good director can be very good) are going to star in Fincher's new film I was really excited. The film tells the story of Benjamin Button, a baby who is born like an old man and then starts aging backwards. From the trailers Benjamin Button looks really beautiful and I think it is going to be one of the best films of 2008!
